ASF Training is run by Scott and Aimee Fairburn – who have had a keen interest in martial arts, self defence and general fitness for many years.
They have worked with some of the best martial arts and self defence instructors around and still train as much as they can themselves as well as attending training seminars every month. Read a little bit about them!
Aimee Fairburn
Aimee is the highest graded female in the country in Jushinkai Aiki Jutsu (4th dan) and she has also
won various kata and kumite competitions within karate and kuk sool won. Plus more recently medals for competing in BJJ (2016-17).
She received an Outstanding Achievement Award from the Mayor of Felixstowe and was winner of
Suffolk Coastal Sports Personality of the Year in 2012.
Scott Fairburn
Scott has been involved in various martial arts and self defence for over twenty-two years.
He has completed and graded in the following:
‘The Approach’ self defence methods instructor course under Eddie Quinn.
Conflict Management Level 2 course.
1st Dan Black Belt in Kuk Sool Won and Kamishin Ryu Jujutsu
CPD’s – a continuing professional development award covering Physical Abuse, Domestic Abuse and Bullying.
NCFE Level 3 Award in Exercise Physiology, MMA Fitness Instructor certificate, Kickboxing Fitness, Crushiit Instructor certificate and Fox Force Self Defence Instructor certificate.
Former Chairman of Nakama Dojos Aiki Jutsu Club in Felixstowe, which is a non-profit organisation.
Both Scott and Aimee train and hold grades in the following arts:
Aiki Jutsu, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Goshin Jutsu, Kamishin Ryu Jujutsu, kuk Sool Won, Satomi kai Aikido, Shorin Ryu karate and Universal karate.
We also hold grades in:
Karate (EKKA), Bujinkan Ninjitsu, Judo, Kickboxing and Kung Fu
We have also trained in:
Escrima, MMA, BJJ a few other styles of Ju Jutsu, sword and other martial arts.

Crimestoppers
We at ASF are proud to confirm that we joined the Crimestoppers Ambassador scheme in 2014 to help to promote and support this charity’s invaluable services to the community.
Crimestoppers is an independent charity helping to find criminal and solve crimes. They take information on many issues such as drug dealing, sexual assault, possession of weapons, robbery, criminal damage, wanted individuals, immigration offences, theft, burglary, murder, arson, fraud… A full list can be found on the Crimestoppers website.
They run an anonymous 0800 555 111 phone number which allows members of the public to pass on information about crime 100% anonymously. People can also pass on information anonymously via a secure online form at www.crimestoppers-uk.org In their 26 years Crimestoppers have never revealed the identity of any of their callers.
