August 13th first free anti bullying session

We ran the first of two of our free anti bullying sessions last night which was created with the help of an American group we are involved with called “Martial Artists Against Bullying”.

We are currently in talks with the Felixstowe Academy who has asked us to run these sessions for them in the new term and we are now also in talks with another (primary) school and a couple of other groups.
Anyway, getting back to last night we had a small group with seven children and their parents. Below is a review from one of these parents which basically says it all.

‘Last night I took my 8 year old son to a free anti-bullying seminar run by ASF and I just wanted to say how much he (and I) enjoyed it.

It was the first session of a two-part course, and was a pretty in-depth look at what does and doesn’t constitute bullying, what you can do if you are a victim of bullying, and also promoting positive action for people who see bullying happening.

It was very interactive, with the kids getting involved in lively discussion, and several fun games to keep things interesting.

My son is very much looking forward to the second session next week.

If you’ve got kids, I’d heartily recommend one of these free courses. Don’t wait until bullying becomes an issue. Get your child involved in stamping it out. I’m pretty sure these are available for schools too.
